How to Improve the Performance of Windows 7



Many Utility software available on the Internet that can improve the performance of our Operating System. Many of them are not-compatible, can damage the operating system, the memory needed to run the Utility's service, can not even protect your privacy when we are online.

By default Windows 7 available Utility which can improve its performance. Confirmed-compatible, memory efficient, and protect our privacy data.



The steps are as follows:


1. Free Up Disk SpacesWith disk Cleanup helps us provide free disk space increases. We can choose which files you want to remove.

Disk Cleanup goals:

    • Delete temporary Internet files
    • Deleting downloaded program files (such as Microsoft ActiveX controls and Java applets)
    • Removing the Recycle Bin 
    •  Deleting Windows temporary files such as error reports 
    • Removing Windows Components - Optional 
    • Remove installed programs 
    • Remove unused restore points and shadows copies of system restore
    Tips: usually, temporary Internet files take the most space for storing cache files when surfing the internet using a browser.

    Using Disk Cleanup:

    1. Click StartAll ProgramsAccessories – System ToolsDisk Cleanup.
      If we have multiple drives, you might be prompted to specify which drive you want we clean.

    2. In the Disk Cleanup dialog box, you can scroll select which files you want to remove. Disk Cleanup will add up how much free space is available.
    3. checklist / unceklist the files you want to delete, then click OK
    4. When there is a confirmation message files that you want to delete, click YES. Wait a few minutes, after complete then Disk Cleanup dialog box will close, fairly better PC performance.
    2. Speed Up Access to Data – Disk Defragmentation
    Disk fragmentation can slow down the performance of the whole system. when files are fragmented, the computer must search the hard disk when the file is opened to restore pieces of the files, so the response time can be significantly longer. Disk Defragmenter is a Windows utility that consolidates fragmented files and folders on a computer hard drive that occupies a single space on the disk so that your files stored neatly without fragmentation, so read and write to disk faster.

    Running Disk Defragmenter:
    1. Click StartAll ProgramsAccessoriesSystem ToolsDisk Defragmenter

    2.In the Disk Defragmenter dialog box, click the drives that you want to defragment, and then click the Analyze button. After the disk is analyzed, a dialog box will pop up whether to defragment the drive dianlisis.

    Tip: You can
    analyze a drive before defragmenting it to make sure how long the defragmentation process.

    3. Select the drive to defragment, click the Defragment disk button. At the bottom of the column, you can see the current process. After defragmentation complete, Disk Defragmenter displays the results.

    4. To view detailed information about the defragmented disk or partition, click View Report

    5. To close the View Report dialog box, click Close

    6. You can also schedule the Disk Defragmenter runs automatically, and the computer will run the default setup. At the bottom of the Schedule, schedule defragmentation will be active, and then displays the time of day and frequency of defragmentation. If you want to turn off automatic defragmentation or change the time or frequency, click Configure Schedule (or activate Schedule, if not at this time run the automatic configuration), then exchange the settings, click OK

    7. Close the Disk Defragmenter utility, click the Close button.


    3. Detect and repair disk Errors
    In addition to running Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter to optimize the performance of your computer, we can also check the integrity of files on the hard drive by running the Check Disk utility. While using the hard drive, can cause bad sectors. bad sector may slow down the performance of hard disk and save the file even impossible. This utility hard drive error checking bad sectors, and scans for file system errors to see whether certain files or folders are wrong. If you use your computer daily, you should run this utility once a week to help prevent data loss.

    Running Check Disk Utility:
    1. Right Click Local Disk (C:) – click Properties – click on tab Tools – click button Check Now

    2. check the Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors to obtain maximum results.

    3. Restart the computer to see the Check Disk.
    4. Protect your computer against Spyware

    Spyware collects personal information without notice to you and without asking for permission. Of web sites you visit to usernames and passwords, spyware can take your confidential information. In addition to privacy concerns, spyware can hamper your computer's performance. To this problem can use Microsoft Security Essentials and the PC safety scan from Windows Live OneCare that can be used free of charge.
    5. ReadyBoost
     A new concept in Windows Vista and Windows 7 in adding memory to the system, using non-volatile flash memory such as a USB flash drive or memory card to improve performance without having to add additional memory.

    Running the ReadyBoost USB:
    1. Right click USB drive – click Properties – choose Tab ReadyBoost
